As we close in on the end of the league stage of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23, we have 4 of our teams that have advanced to the playoffs. All these teams peaked at the right time and made sure that they go into the playoffs.

Mumbai City FC became the first team to qualify for the ISL 2022-23 playoffs. Des Buckingham’s men also won the ISL League Shield award because of their consistent performances and for carving their own niche in the ongoing ISL.

The Islanders also had an unreal 18-game unbeaten streak in ISL 2022-23 and it was only in the last game against Bengaluru FC that they broke their unbeaten streak. Simon Grayson’s Bengaluru FC won the game 2-1 after Sunil Chhetri and Javi Hernandez netted the goals for the Blues.

After FC Goa lost to Chennaiyin FC yesterday, Bengaluru FC and Kerala Blasters FC qualified to the ISL 2022-23 playoffs. Bengaluru FC had a dream run to the ISL 2022-23 playoffs.

After languishing at the 9th position in the points table towards the end of 2022, Bengaluru FC activated their beast mode in the new year. They have now won 7 games on the bounce and looks inevitable.

The likes of Sivasakthi Narayanan, Roy Krishna, and Javi Hernandez all look in fine form and can well help Bengaluru FC to lift their 2nd ISL title.

Chennai’s win also meant that Kerala Blasters FC go through to the playoffs. Ivan Vukomanovich’s men to have been in control almost all throughout the ISL, barring a few games.

They are presently in the 3rd position in the points table and have 31 points under their belt.
