Hyderabad FC win

The Indian Super League’s (ISL) all-time leading goal-scorer Bartholomew Ogbeche scored a late-goal for Hyderabad FC to make sure they have all the points in this ISL 2022-23 game against ATK Mohun Bagan.

Hyderabad FC’s victory against ATK Mohun Bagan in this game also ensured that the Nizams finish in the 2nd place in the ISL 2022-23 points table. Notably, Mumbai City FC has already won the ISL League Shield award for this season and they will be finishing in the top position.

For the first 45 minutes at the G.M.C. Balayogi Athletic Stadium in Hyderabad, neither of the goalkeepers had to break a sweat as there were not a lot of chances created from the opposition attackers. The half-time score read 0-0 and it didn’t ooze a lot of action and entertainment.

In the 86th minute of the game, Bartholomew Ogbeche who came off the bench, netted the goals for the Nizams. He dribbled past Slavko Damjanovic and slotted the ball right behind the net from just outside the penalty box.

This strike was enough for Hyderabad FC to stake claim on the game as they walked away with full points. ATK Mohun Bagan on the other hand failed to get a single point from this away fixture of theirs.

The Mariners now find themselves in an extremely tricky position. Juan Ferrando’s side will now have to win both the games against Kerala Blasters FC and East Bengal FC to ensure a spot in the ISL 2022-23 top 6.

ATK Mohun Bagan lock horns with Kerala Blasters FC at the Salt Lake Stadium on 18th February 2023. This will be followed by a game at the Salt Lake Stadium again on 25th February 2023.

The iconic and prestigious Kolkata Derby on the 25th of February 2023 will be played between East Bengal FC and ATK Mohun Bagan. With stakes being so high always for that game, we will be up for a crackerjack of a game.
