For large periods in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23, Mumbai City FC ruled the roost. The Islanders played a terrific brand of football and exercised their dominant muscles in the tournament.

Des Buckingham’s men eventually won the ISL League Shield and set an example for everyone. The Indian talent and the overseas players played in tandem to conjure magic for the side.

Mumbai City FC crashed out in the semi-finals of ISL 2022-23 in a tightly-contested match against Bengaluru FC. The match went right down till the wire and the final score-line read 9-8 in the penalties.

Now ahead of the Super Cup 2023 that will be taking place in Kerala, Mumbai City FC have announced their squad. In a surprising move, Mumbai have named all Indian players in the squad.

None of the foreigners have been named in the squad and this provides a golden opportunity to all the Indian youngsters to prove their mettle and showcase their talent in the Super Cup 2023.

The Islanders kick-start their campaign against the Churchill Brothers on 11th April 2023. Rahul Bheke will be leading the side.
