The Indian Premier League has been set up to make the young Indian players match-ready. The IPL is meant to back the players after their good performance for their franchise. The potential young guns of India can grab the attention of the selectors, national coach, and the captain if they do well in this cash-rich league tournament.

The IPL is a platform that provides the young players with the experience, and it gives the exposure so that they can thrive in the given opportunities. The young Indian players can also get professional guidance from the senior Indian players, coaches, and the overseas legendary players to improve on their game and finally do well for the country one day.

Many players have used the IPL platform to a good effect by showing their skills in this T20 league tournament. But they have not repeated the same performance when they have played for India. While the ICC World T20 is around the corner, some uncapped players from this year of IPL can represent their country in the shortest format.

They will play the ICC mega in the shortest format from 10th October 2021 to 15th November 2021. However, India was supposed to host the tournament. But now, with the postponement of the IPL 2021 season, the WT20 can be shifted to the United Arab Emirates because of the COVID issue and threat in the country.

There are four uncapped players from India who had the limelight in the half of the IPL 2021 season. These players have shown their skills, talents, and accuracy with the bat and ball. So, we think that these four players might play the World T20 for India later this year.

Devdutt Padikkal

The opening batsman from the Royal Challengers Bangalore showed his class from his first season of IPL 2020. Padikkal was awarded the emerging player of the last year. He had opened the innings quite well for the RCB till now. Padikkal also smashed his maiden IPL hundred in this season, and the RCB franchise, too, did well. They were placed third on the points table when the season was postponed.

Devdutt already has the experience of facing world-class bowlers through the IPL, and when he represents India, it would be slightly easy for him. India has the one slot of the opener left, Rohit Sharma is the first-choice opener, and we think Devdutt Padikkal can be the man who can complement HIT Man at the other end. Padikkal has been giving some good batting shows through domestic and List A cricket. If he continues his consistency, class, and elegance, that would be great for India.

Chetan Sakariya

If India is searching for another depth over bowler with Jasprit Bumrah, they should go with Chetan Zakariya. The fast bowler from the Rajasthan Royals franchise can be the bowler to watch out for in the coming years. The left-arm pace bowler has slower deliveries and bowling varieties which can fox the batsmen in any format. Chetan has been amongst the wicket-takers for RR. He took seven wickets till the tournament got canceled. He can be essential for India’s chances because many of the pacers have injury or niggle, and many of them were not good.  That’s why India can go with this youngster who will have many points to prove.

Avesh Khan

He is another pace bowler who has been grabbing the limelight frequently. Avesh Khan, the pace bowler from Delhi Capitals, has also been the one who has foxed the many batsmen in the IPL. He has also picked up the big wickets of Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni in this season. He has picked up 13 wickets to his name in the first half of the season. Avesh Kahn is the wicket-taking economical bowler who has many variations up his sleeve. He can be the second choice for India’s lineup for that ICC mega event.

Harshal Patel

The pace bowler from Royal Challenges Bangalore is one reason why Virat and his men have done well in this IPL competition. Harshal Patel has been a star for RCB in this season. He has provided the right balance for the side, and he is the first RCB bowler to picked up a five-wicket haul against the defending champions, Mumbai Indians. Patel has bowled some brilliant slower deliveries and Yorkers, which kept the batsmen in check. In this season, Patel was the go-to man for Skipper Kohli, and if Harshal is added to the Indian squad for that WT20 event, he will have to perform the same way he did for RCB in the IPL 2021 season.
