A total of 256 invited teams will compete in The Grind, a qualifying event for the BGIS 2024, which will begin on April 4. The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) main tournament will be contested over four weeks, with the top 64 teams moving on. The prize fund for the competition is an enormous ₹2 crore.

The prior two India Series installments had also been presented by The Grind. Throughout the competition, one may witness several seasoned and well-known teams from the nation colliding with one another. 

Additionally, Krafton has opened registration for underdog teams who will directly compete in the BGIS 2024 starting in the first round.

BGIS 2024 The Grind

For the first two weeks of The Grind, 256 teams will be randomly seeded into 16 groups. In Week 1, each of eight groups will compete in three matches. In the same way, the remaining eight teams will compete in Week 2. 

For the next two weeks of the competition, these 256 teams will be split into 16 groups once more, this time based on their standings from the first two weeks. 

Schedule

The three matches for each side will subsequently be played in a manner akin to the first two weeks. This is The Grind’s schedule:

  • Week 1 – April 4 to 7
  • Week 2 – April 11 to 14
  • Week 3 – April 18 to 21
  • Week 4 – April 25 to 28

Points collected over a four-week period will determine The Grind’s overall rankings. The path from The Grind to BGIS 2024 is seen below:

  • Ranked 1st to 16th – Round 4
  • Ranked 17th to 32nd – Round 3
  • Ranked 33rd to 64th – Round 2

How to watch BGIS 2024 live

At 3:30 p.m., Krafton Exports India’s YouTube account will stream The Grind live. Six battle royale bouts are planned to be played per day. The event will include four BGMI maps: Vikendi, Sanhok, Erangel, and Miramar. 

A 10-point scoring system will be used throughout the duration of the competition.
