As Season 2 of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) continues, the competition is becoming more difficult.
Team Godlike was unable to advance to the Super Weekend 1 due to their underwhelming performance in League Week 1.
It seems that Team Godlike has already secured their place in the Super Weekend 2 on Days 1 and 2 of League Week 2.
Suraj “Neyoo” Nityanand Majumdar, Abhishek “Zgod” Choudhary, Arjun “Shadow” Mandhalkar, and Rudra “Spower” are the current playing four for Team Godlike.
In the second League Week of BGMS Season 2, Team Godlike is playing very well. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) for them has been Jonathan.
Fans were confused as to Jonathan “Jonathan” Jude Amaral’s absence on Day 1 of League Week 2 given the intense competition.
Later, Kamaljeet “Kamaljeet” Singh disclosed Jonathan’s whereabouts and an estimated time of return.
Reason behind Jonathan’s absence in BGMS Season 2
Due to Team Godlike’s failure to advance to Super Weekend 2, Jonathan was unable to participate in Super Weekend 1. The first two days of League Week 2 were also skipped by him.
Jonathan missed the first two days of League Week 2 for a variety of reasons, which Kamaljeet just disclosed in a video posted by Ocean “Ocean” Sharma. He stated, “Jonathan was suffering from fever and had a temperature of 103 to 104 degrees. He was also admitted in the hospital because of this.
“By god’s grace all his reports are clear. He is currently dealing with post fever weakness and is suggested bed rest for a couple of days by the doctor. When I spoke to him he wanted to play, but his left hand was swollen due to saline injections.
“I knew he couldn’t give his 100% in this situation and for me a player’s health is the most important thing and the game is secondary in those situations,” he added.
“People don’t understand what goes on behind the camera. There are many health issues an esports athlete has to deal with,” said Ocean.
The precise date of Jonathan’s comeback to BGMS Season 2 is still uncertain. When Jonathan returns for Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) Round 3 in 2023 would be intriguing to witness.
