After reorienting its attention to South America, Indonesian Esports group BOOM Esports has revealed its Dota 2 team for the 2024 season. This squad, which consists only of players from Peru, currently does not include a mid laner.
The club adds three new players, a coach, and its carry player from its previous lineup.
The CEO of BOOM Esports, Gary Ongko Putera, has already stated in an X podcast that the company will carry on with its competitive endeavors in South America.
BOOM Esports unveiled its redesigned Dota 2 squad on December 27.
The squad is expected to participate in South America and is made up exclusively of Peruvian talent.
With Crhistian “Pakazs” Savina still serving as the carry, the team’s midlaner is now idle.
Boom Esports Dota 2 Roster
The team’s current roster consists of:

- Mario “LittleBoy” Valdivia
- Rodrigo “n1ght” Cruz
- Jose “Panda” Padilla
The offlaner for BOOM Esports’ newest members is Mario “LittleBoy” Valdivia, who was once a member of the now-dissolved Thunder Awaken. The squad now includes former members of Thunder Awaken Rodrigo “n1ght” Cruz and Evil Geniuses’ Jose “Panda” Padilla.
Last but not least, this roster’s coach is Juan David “Vintage” Angulo Nicho, who guided Evil Geniuses in the International 2023 and Wawitas Sagazes at the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023.
CEO Ongko disclosed that BOOM Esports would compete in a competition in January 2024 without a stand-in in a previous episode of X. Rather, they intend to highlight a trialist who could end up signing a contract with the team.
Ongko said, “The lineup is not fully complete. We’re not using a stand-in. It’s more like a trial, so he’s not officially part of the team yet. It depends on whether he wants to sign.”
A key player for Tundra for many years, Timado is now searching for a new club, suggesting that Tundra’s core two may change. The existing state of affairs might be clarified by a public announcement from the organization outlining the transition and introducing the new carry player.
