Activision has now confirmed that Modern Warfare 3 will debut this year on November 10 after innumerable leaks and speculations.
The prevalent rumours surrounding Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, created by Sledgehammer Games, have been formally validated by Activision.
The publisher has also revealed that the most recent game in the revived series will debut on November 10 for PC and consoles. There might also be a potential addition for the Nintendo Switch.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
The announcement was made with a brief teaser that gave virtually little information. However, as implied by the title, it is a continuation of the revived Modern Warfare series. It is also a rough replica of the 2011 version of Modern Warfare 3.
Players may be able to transfer items like operators, weapons, and bundles from the Call of Duty iteration from the previous year (in this case, Modern Warfare II) to the next version for the first time.
This suggestion completely dispels the idea that Modern Warfare III would take place against a World War II setting.
Early in 2022, rumours surfaced that Activision was contemplating taking a more cautious approach. It was speculated that they may be releasing a big Modern Warfare II expansion.
In addition, it was expected that they would upgrade Warzone and create the next mainstream title. In the end, the publisher decided to continue releasing full-price Call of Duty games on a yearly basis.
Modern Warfare III will retain its distinctive standalone qualities as a full-priced product while including maps and features from the game’s predecessor.
In the unveiling, there was no glimpse of any gameplay, but fans now have the official confirmation that Modern Warfare 3 is a reality after months of speculation. It also gave fans an idea of how Modern Warfare 3 will look like.
The move into Modern Warfare 3’s world will be made clearer when Activision progressively releases more information over the following weeks and months.
