A number of regional competitions have already begun in other nations, including Thailand and Indonesia. Early in 2024, Garena announced that FFWS Qualifiers will take the place of many regional events.
To increase team competition, the organization altered the format of its main competitions last year.
The Brazilian team Magic Squad won the Free Fire World Series in Bangkok, Thailand, in November 2023.
FFWS 2024 To Be Held In Brazil
Garena has now made the decision to hold the 2024 event in the nation that produced the winning team. The decision by the publisher might build enthusiasm among local fans since the nation is considered to have one of the largest player bases of Free Fire.
The inaugural FFWS was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2019. The nation’s Corinthians Esports emerged victorious in the first edition. After half a decade, the sixth edition of the World Series will be played there.
Garena shared a message on its social media channels to note the nation that will host the next edition.
Phoenix Force (Evos) of Thailand was victorious in the FFWS 2021, which was held in Singapore. In 2022, there were two World Series held in Singapore throughout the spring, with Attack All Around from Thailand coming out on top.
Bangkok experienced the next World Series, which Evos from the host country dominated.
Several adjustments to the Free Fire esports events will be part of the publisher’s strategy for success in 2024. Since the battle royale title was outlawed in India at the beginning of 2022, its popularity has sharply decreased.
