Well-known Indian company Hydra Official withdrew its BGMI lineup after being removed from the current Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024.
The club recently participated in the third round of this competition, but sadly, they were unable to produce the expected outcomes and were eliminated. In the previous few tournaments, the lineup had likewise performed mediocrely.
Krafton did not broadcast Hydra Official matches live, but the organization acknowledged that its squad was unable to advance to the following round.
The squad was seeded first in the third round after they had placed 23rd in the Grind competition held in April 2024. In addition, Orangutan Gaming, another well-known company, was eliminated from the competition.
Hydra Official BGMI Team Dissolved
Using its social media accounts, Hydra Official officially announced it on May 22. They announced:
“Thank you for joining us on this rollercoaster journey and all the passion and hard work you guys have put in. Wishing you all the best for future.”
This year, the team performed poorly in a number of competitions, including as the BGIS, Snapdragon Pro Series, and Skyesports Mobile Open.
They did, however, exhibit encouraging performance at a few noteworthy competitions, such as the iQOO Pro Series, Upthrust India Rising, and Skyesports Championship Series. However, in 2024, the team was unable to win any BGMI events.
Dreams was signed by the club earlier this year in March as an IGL in the roster following Starboy’s departure.
The team did not perform to the expected level despite his new arrival. The four players that made up the squad were Dreams, Spraygod, DuoraOP, and SparshOP.
Hydra Official didn’t place in the top three of their group in the BGIS 2024 Round 3 after failing to consistently perform well in six matches.
Out of all the teams who participated in this third round, only 48 made it to the next round. The total prize fund for this massive BGMI tournament is ₹2 crore.
