On May 29, 2023, the League of Legends LPL Summer Split Regular Season will begin. Only the best 10 teams—out of the 17 teams competing—will advance to the next round.
The LPL victor will automatically qualify for the Worlds Swiss Stage in 2023, raising the stakes significantly. The Spring Split champion, JD Gaming, will make an effort to retain their position.
