The stable version of Minecraft 1.20.5 is almost ready for formal release, thanks to Mojang Studios’ close attention to detail. It’s not a big update, but it does include a ton of new features that players have been clamoring for for a while.
Before completing the actual release, the developers usually release candidates, pre-releases, and snapshots.
With the announcement of two release candidates, Minecraft 1.20.5 won’t be far behind.
On April 18, 2024, the first release candidate of the 1.20.5 upgrade was made public by the Swedish game developers.
Minecraft 1.20.5 Update
In addition to talking about the minor adjustments made to the release candidate, they formally declared that the 1.20.5 update will be available next week.
This indicates that April 22-26, 2024, has already been selected as the release date window. But the precise release date has not been disclosed.
Mojang Studios has historically delivered updates on various days of the week.
They have never, however, before delivered an update on a weekend. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that the 1.20.5 update will probably be released some time between Monday and Friday.
Every player is looking forward to this update, especially because it includes features that the community has been clamoring for a long time.
The developers unveiled Armadillo, a brand-new mob, as a contender for the yearly mob voting contest in October 2023. The mob voted for them and they became an instant favorite as it was learned that armadillos shed scutes that can be turned into wolf armor.
Mojang Studios chose to include them in 1.20.5 even though they were originally intended for the Minecraft 1.21 version.
Warm biomes like savanna and badlands are home to armadillos. They may have their scute removed using a brush.
One piece of wolf armor may be fashioned from six armadillo scutes. Wolves are among the most popular pet mobs, therefore the community was quite grateful for the armor.
