The second part of the Villager Trade Rebalance experiment has just been added to Minecraft Java Edition.

The Bedrock Edition has included these test modifications finally. The Bedrock Preview 1.20.40.20 for this week features the Villager Trade Rebalance Part 2, alterations to the structure loot, enhanced playability, an enormous number of bug fixes, and more.

All changes to structure loot and villager trade are behind the Experiments Menu. By turning on the Feature Table in the Experiments Menu when making a new Minecraft world, those who are interested in testing out the new experimental features may do so.

To balance their trades, Mojang has chosen to provide a brand-new overhaul to cartographers and armorers in this new preview.

They were formerly restricted to trading Ocean Explorer and Woodland Explorer maps. Seven new maps from cartographers are now available for trading.

Cartographers from various biomes will offer a variety of mobs. Players will now need to go across biomes looking for maps.

The seven new maps included in Minecraft Preview 1.20.40.20 are listed below:

  • Desert Village Map
  • Jungle Explorer Map
  • Plains Village Map
  • Savanna Village Map
  • Snow Village Map
  • Swamp Explorer Map
  • Taiga Village Map.

Similar to cartographers, the trades of armorers are altered depending on the biome they are in. Here are all the major alterations to the armorer trades:

  • Players can sell certain iron and diamond blocks to armorers.
  • With the exception of Jungle and Swamp armorers, chainmail armor is currently very rare.
  • Diamond armor with evil enchantments is sold by the Savanna armorer.
  • One piece of diamond armor is exchanged for another by taiga armour.

Certain Minecraft structures have received loot changes in addition to trade changes. The following enchantment books are now more likely to be discovered by players in certain structures:

  • Ancient Cities: Mending
  • Mineshafts: Efficiency (I to V)
  • Pillager Outposts: Quick Charge (I to III)
  • Desert Temples: Unbreaking (I to III)
  • Jungle Temples: Unbreaking (I to III)

Other bug fixes and technical changes are also included in Minecraft Preview 1.20.40.20.
