The in-game name of players in PUBG Mobile is very important as it gives the player his identity.
Players always strive to come up with creative names, or names that correspond with the rest of the members of their squad.
Earlier in PUBG Mobile, it was not possible to change your in-game name once it was set. After choosing a name, there was no way to modify it in the game.
However, the developers enabled a method to do so later. Now, you can alter your name once per day using the Rename Cards.
How to change name in PUBG Mobile
Follow the steps given below to change your in-game name in PUBG Mobile:
- Launch PUBG Mobile.
- Open the app to the main menu or home screen.
- From the drop-down option at the bottom, choose Inventory.
- On the right, touch the crate symbol.
- If you have a Rename Card, choose it by tapping ‘Use’.
- Type your new name, then choose OK. Only one name change per day is permitted.
If you have been playing PUBG Mobile for a long time, you most likely already own some Rename Cards.
They come as rewards as you level up, and some of them were given away for free when the feature first started.
If you do not have any Rename Cards in your inventory, you must pay 180 UC to purchase a single Rename Card from the shop.
A modest amount of UC may also be obtained by advancing through the Royale Pass rankings each season.
Without a Rename Card, it is not possible to change your name in PUBG Mobile.
