Challengers Showdown, the fifth Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournament of the 2024 season, has been revealed by Upthrust Esports.
Several well-known and experienced teams will compete in the event, including Godlike Esports, Carnival Gaming, Team 8Bit, and iQOO Soul.
With prize money for both individual performances and the Semi Finals stage, the event promises a prize pool of INR 9 Lakhs. Open qualifiers for future teams with more than 2048 spots was offered for the tournament.
32 teams will compete in the Upthrust Esports Challengers Showdown tournament.
June 6–8 is when the Week of Redemption takes place; June 13–15 is when the Eliminator Week takes place; June 20–22 is when the Semi Finals take place; and June 27–29 is when the Grand Finals take place.
32 teams will compete in 4 groups of 8 during Redemption Week; the top 8 teams advance directly to the Semi Finals, while the worst 24 teams will play in the Eliminator Week.

The tournament has a 9 Lakhs prize pool. There are three phases to the prize pool: Redemption Week (INR 2 Lakhs), Semi Finals (INR 2 Lakhs), and Grand Finals (INR 5 Lakhs). The Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the competition will also receive prize money.
Live streaming of the Upthrust Esports Challengers Showdown event will be available starting at 12 PM on May 6th on the Upthrust Esports Youtube channel and the official Upthrust Esports Rooter Channel.
