After a convincing victory against their bitter rivals, the Mumbai Indians, the Chennai Super Kings will enter the match as favourite to win. Despite losing their first game to the reigning champions GT, they were able to win their following two matches: one at home against LSG and one on the road against MI.

Ruturaj Gaikwad has been in fantastic form for CSK, scoring 189 runs in as many as three games at an outstanding average of 94.50, including two half-centuries, and averaging 161.54 per strike.

Rajasthan Royals

The Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, will be coming off of three solid games, winning two of the three games they played while narrowly losing to PBKS. With two victories and a respectable net run rate of +2.067, they are ranked second in the IPL points standings.
