He performed brilliantly with the bat and shut down his critics, who felt that he cannot play as a main batsman in the national side. The right-handed all-rounder was picked as the main batsman in the limited-over format series against India. Hardik Pandya was playing his first international series following his recovery from a back injury. And, fans had lots of expectations from the 27-year-old. He finished as the top scorer in the ODI series with 215 runs in 3 games. Even, he successfully replicated the same form in the shorter format as well due to which Team India managed to get their hands on the series by 2-1.

Ravi Shastri Full Of Praise For Hardik Pandya
Ravi Shastri was full of praise for the 27-year-old. He said winning a T20I series in the absence of Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah is a very big achievement. He also added that it is good to watch that player know their responsibility and stepping forward whenever the team requires their services and Hardik Pandya did the same.
“Winning the T20s without Rohit and Bumrah was a huge achievement. What’s essentially working beautifully for this team is players standing up to these responsibilities. In that, Hardik has been natural. His game awareness is second to none. He’s one of the cleanest strikers of the ball I’ve seen in the game,” Shastri was quoted as saying by the Times of India.
