India got off the mark in Australia with an ODI series defeat. The Men in Blue suffered humiliation in back to back games with the bowlers being criticized by the Indian cricket fans. Meanwhile, one player, who is under the scanner due to poor performance is Jasprit Bumrah. Now, a picture has surfaced on social media in which Bumrah can be spotted kicking the 30-year-circle markers during the game.
The premium pacer from India is struggling with poor form in the ODIs. He performed exceptionally well in the recently concluded Indian Premier League 2020. He took 25 wickets in 15 games for Mumbai Indians and finished as the 2nd leading wicket-taker. But, he has failed to replicate the same in the ongoing ODI series. He has bowled far from his best again the hosts. He has grabbed two wickets in 2 games with an expensive economy of more than 7.30.

Jasprit Bumrah Kicks 30-Yard Circle Markers During 2nd ODI
He looked a bit frustrated on the field with the ball and kicked markers kept on the field. In the 2nd ODI, he took the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne and recorded expensive bowling figures of 10-1-79-1. A fan took to his official Twitter handle and shared a still in which Bumrah can be spotted kicking the markers of the 30-yard circle in anger.
Bumrah’s poor patch in the ODIs has extended to 10 games. He failed to take a single wicket in the ODI series against New Zealand. Also, he took his last three-for in the 2019 World Cup against Srilanka. Overall in the past 9 games, he has dismissed only four batsmen and this clearly shows that Bumrah is not in his prime at the moment.
However, the Indian fans and management will expect to regain his fine form in the final T20I game against Australia. He is part of Team India’s T20I and Test squad as well. And, if he fails to perform well then another series defeat can be on the cards for the visitors.
