India has announced the squad for the final two games of the four-match Test series against England. And, it is reported that Umesh Yadav is expected to replace young Shardul Thakur for the Ahemdabad historic Test. Meanwhile, BCCI has also announced a full-strength squad with only one change on the side.
England defeated India in the series opener with sheer dominance. But, Team India also marked a strong comeback in Chennai with the biggest Test win by runs against England. Now, the series has taken a dramatic turn with the series coming down to a level. The third game of the series will be played in the re-innovated Motera Stadium. It is reckoned as the biggest cricket stadium in the world.
BCCI Announced Team India Squad For Last 2 Tests Against England
BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly has already given the information that the tickets have already been sold out. And, both the teams will get to play in front of a jam-packed crowd. The Indian cricket board has not made a single change except for Shardul Thakur.
The talented all-rounder will play in India’s 50-over domestic tournament Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021 season. And, he will be replaced by Umesh Yadav post his fitness assessment at NCA in Bangalore. The right-handed Indian pacer sustained a calf injury during 2nd Test in Australia and he was ruled out from the series. But, now, he is expected to attain full-match fitness for the left games in the ongoing Test series against England.
