The Trading Window for IPL 2020 closed on Friday 15th November. All the 8 IPL Franchises announced the list of players that they have retained, released or traded before the Upcoming IPL auction. 127 Cricket Players, Including 35 Overseas cricketers were retained by 8 IPL Franchises. This Year, Franchises have made interesting changes in their Roosters.
After the window closed, we saw that Kings XI Punjab (INR 42.70 CR) now has the highest salary Cap available for this year’s auction. We also observed that Royal Challengers Bangalore has the highest number of Player slots available (including 6 overseas player slots). Chennai Super Kings has the largest Squad Size in the upcoming 2020 IPL season with 20 players.
Out of the 8 Franchises, RCB has released the maximum number of Players (12), whereas Sunrisers Hyderabad has released the least number of players (5).
For IPL 2019 each Franchise was allotted by INR 82 Crore, But this year each team has been allotted with INR 85 Crore. Each Team has received an extra 3 Crore in their Kitty along with the Balance of last Year’s Auction.
Teams like RCB, KKR, DC have decided to rebuild their Team. KXIP has the biggest Balance of 42.70 Cr followed by KKR with 35.65 Cr for this year’s IPL Auction.

How are IPL Players paid?
IPL has 2 types of Contracts –
1st is called the firm agreement, in it, the player gets a fixed amount from BCCI, and the difference between the Bid Amount and fixed Fees is kept by the BCCI.
2nd is called a Basic Agreement, this agreement gives a player the liberty to take home the amount he has been bid for in the IPL Auction. Each player earns an around an average of INR 80 Lakhs in one season.
