IPL 2023 Mini-Auction Likely To Take Place On December 23 In Kochi: Reports

IPL 2023 Auction Date

Kochi will host the IPL 2023 Auction on December 23, as per media reports. However, any official confirmation regarding the same is still awaited. 

The season will also be the first time in three years that the home-away format has been used. It was last played in this format in 2019, well before the COVID-19 epidemic. In the final week of March, IPL 2023 will begin. The salary cap is likely to be raised by Rs 5 crore, which is good news for franchisees.

IPL 2023 Auction Date

On December 23, 2022, in Kochi, the IPL 2023 Auction will be conducted. Approximately 650 players are expected to participate.

IPL 2023: Expected Bid Price

The league will be played in the same home-and-away format as it did prior to the pandemic. Last year, 551.7 crores were spent on players for all 10 teams. Ishaan Kishan, a player for the Mumbai Indians, had the highest selling price.

What will be the IPL 2023 auction purse? 

According to speculations, the franchisees would be given a budget of Rs 95 crore for this year’s sale. Since the total prize money for all teams in the previous edition was Rs 90 crore, there will be an increase of Rs 5 crore.
