Delhi Capitals had a forgettable night in IPL 2020 as they lost qualifier 1 to Mumbai Indians by a big margin. And, Jasprit Bumrah was a player of the match, who registered brilliant bowling figures of 4/14. He stole the limelight with his brilliant bowling skills. The best one between all of his four wickets was of Shikhar Dhawan that left everyone stunned.

Mumbai Indians managed a mammoth total of 200 runs in their stipulated 20 overs. MI batsmen performed exceedingly well in the critical game. Ishan Kishan finished as the top-scorer for Men in Blue with an unbeaten knock of 72 runs studded with four boundaries and three sixes. Suryakumar Yadav also scored a brilliant fifty followed by a quick cameo of Hardik Pandya, who smashed 34 runs off 14 balls. Coming onto DC could manage only 143 runs in their 20 overs and suffered defeat by 57 runs.

Early in the inning, DC was already struggling as they had lost their top two batsmen without scoring a single. Shikhar Dhawan, who was in smashing form before that game, failed to prolong his stay on the wicket. In the 2nd over of the innings, Jasprit Bumrah bowled a thunderous yorker and Dhawan had no clue on how to defend that delivery. And, he was clean bowled with bails tossing into the air.

The southpaw was left stunned and upset after witnessing such peach of a delivery from the Indian pacer. Jasprit Bumrah was also awarded “Player of The Match” for registering bowling figures 4-1-14-4. Only Aussie all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and Axar Patel gave a convincing performance with the bat. The former scored 65 runs before getting bowled off Bumrah and later managed 42 runs for his team.

Although DC lost the game to Mumbai Indians. But, they still hold a chance to reach the finals by defeating the winner of the eliminator. Now, qualifier 2 will be played on November 8 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
