IPL 2020 is in its full swing and fans are cherishing each and every game. On the other hand, there is a big battle going between the ardent followers over which side will lift the trophy in the 13th edition. Smriti Mandhana, the women cricketer gave a diplomatic answer over the question that which she is supporting in this season.
Indian Premier League got kicked-off from September 19 after going through many leaps and bounds. In the first week itself, the fans got to watch two Super Over contest along with a couple of enthralling games. All eight teams are giving their best on the field. And, it is difficult to pick the best out of them at the moment.
Smriti Mandhana opines on her favorite players
In an interview, Smriti Mandhana said that she is watching every game of IPL 2020. The 24-year-old added that she is not supporting any particular side but players. She took the names of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Rohit Sharma, and MS Dhoni among the players Indian Women cricketer is supporting in this edition.
“I am watching all the matches. Quite biased with all the players and I have not got one team to support. I am not being diplomatic; actually don’t have one team to support. I am supporting Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Rohit Sharma, and MS Dhoni,” Mandhana was quoted as saying to India Today.
Smriti also expressed that she has become a huge fan of Sanju Samson. Further added that she is now supporting RR just because of the young Indian cricketer.
“The way young guys are batting is very inspirational to see. I think Sanju Samson, the way he is batting I have just become a huge fan of him. I have started supporting RR because of him. The way he is batting is crazy, next-level batting. I am thinking to learn from everyone who is batting and bowling well,” she added.
