India is breaking all records in terms of positive coronavirus cases in the country. A sudden surge in the novel cases has forced Aussie players to pull out of the ongoing Indian Premier League. Now, reports have emerged that star players Steve Smith and David Warner are also thinking to fly back to their nation before they get locked out in India.

The condition is deteriorating with each passing day and people are struggling to maintain their pace under alarming conditions. Recently, Abhinav Bindra, a former Olympic gold medalist took a dig at BCCI for organizing the Indian Premier League 2021. On Monday, the toll of players pulling out of IPL 2021 reached four comprising of Adam Zampa, Kane Richardson, Andrew Tye, and Liam Livingstone.

“Australian cricketers including David Warner and Steve Smith are now hoping to be flown home to India before borders shut,” news agency IANS quoted 9News as saying on Tuesday.

In an interview, Annastacia Palaszczuk, an Australian politician said that it is high time that government should suspend every flight coming or going to India. If that happens then every Aussie cricketer and staff member of franchise will have to leave IPL 2021 mid-way through the season.

“I do believe now is the time to suspend those flights,” Palaszczuk was quoted as saying by 9news.

Amidst, Nathan Coulter Nile, the Aussie pacer has taken a stand saying that he will be with his franchise Mumbai Indians till the end of the edition. He also added that it was surprising to watch Adam Zampa, Andrew Tye, and Kane Richardson leaving IPL in the mid-way.

“I was surprised to see AJ (Andre Tye) go home, and then Zamps and Richo (Kane Richardson), but when you speak to them, you definitely understand where they’re coming from,” he added.
