KKR vs SRH IPL 2023

This year, all the games of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are being jaw-dropping and edge-of-the-seat matches. KKR have been playing with their entire hearts and have been producing some remarkable results.

Even though they went down against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in this game, they would be happy with the way a few batters batted for them. That being said, their bowling has been below par and needs a lot of improvement.

On the other hand, SRH would have been happy as they have now won 2 back-to-back games. After their win against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Hyderabad have now won this game against KKR.

In this article, we take a look at the 3 talking points of the KKR vs SRH game in IPL 2023 today:

1. Rinku Singh continues his dream run with the bat

If Rinku Singh made KKR fans believe in the impossible in the last game, he just raised the expectations a tad higher in this KKR vs SRH game too. After his incredible hitting in the previous game, Rinku Singh continued from where he left off.

Singh scored an unbeaten knock of 58* runs in just 31 balls and he was scoring sixes and fours for fun. He had an extraordinary S/R of 187.10.

2. KKR’s bowlers need to up their game

KKR’s bowling woes in this season continued as none of the pacers found their rhythm and coordination. While Umesh Yadav was smashed for 42 runs in just 3 overs, Kiwi pacer Lockie Ferguson leaked 37 runs in just 2 overs in this KKR vs SRH contest.

Chandrakant Pandit really needs to step up his bowling troops and do something special here as KKR’s bowling hasn’t been up to the mark.

3. Harry Brook has arrived in the IPL

After acing the Test, ODI and T20 format with his good batting prowess, Harry Brook has scored a fantastic hundred in the IPL. This was the first 100 in IPL 2023 and it was an innings of the highest order.

Opening the batting for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Harry Brook started firing on all cylinders from the word go. He knocked out the wind out of the sails off the bowling of KKR and smashed the 100 in just 55 balls.

It was an unbeaten knock as well and his innings was peppered with 12 fours and 3 sixes.

Skipper Aiden Markram too scored a valuable half century and it was their partnership that set the tone for SRH in this game.
