Gujarat Titans (GT) who are the defending champions of Indian Premier League (IPL), suffered a 15-run loss at the hands of 4-time IPL champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The match took place in front of the ever-so-energetic Chepauk Stadium and Chennai Super Kings took full advantage of their home crowd support.
Chennai now move to the finals and they will be playing the winner of Qualifier 2 between Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants/Mumbai Indians on 28th May 2023.
Gujarat will be on familiar territory as Qualifier 2 will be played at their home ground at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. They can expect their fans to throng the stadium in large numbers and pledge allegiance to them.
