CSK have qualified to the finals of IPL 2023 and will be playing the all-important game on 28th May 2023 at the iconic and prestigious Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. MS Dhoni’s troops defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 15 runs in Qualifier 1 and booked their place in the finals.
Now the question arises as to whether they can lift their 5th IPL title. We believe CSK can do this! Now here is why, we think so:

CSK’s opening combination of Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad has been a class act. The duo have consistently scored runs in IPL 2023 and have been one of the main reasons why the Chennai side has been a force to reckon with in the IPL.
While Devon Conway has amassed 625 runs in 14 games, Ruturaj Gaikwad has scored 546 runs. The two batters are also Chennai’s top scorers in IPL 2023.
Matheesha Pathirana and his love affair with quality bowling
Sri Lankan young pacer Matheesha Pathirana’s bowling action takes us down the memory lanes and reminds us of the legendary Sri Lankan pacer, Lasith Malinga. Pathirana has been a quality bowler and has been one of the main pacers of CSK in IPL 2023.
The yorkers he executes are top-notch and he has always been a quality bowler. In 11 games, the Sri Lankan bowler has bagged 17 wickets. He is being dreaded by the batters and bowls really well in the death overs.
Shivam Dube’s resurgence
After Shivam Dube was given consistent matches in IPL 2023, he showed us his true worth. With minimal footwork, Dube smashed the bowlers all across the park and gave Chennai the solidity they required in the middle-overs.
In 13 innings, Shivam Dube has notched up 386 runs and is playing with a lot of explosiveness and intent.
