In Qualifier 2 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Shubman Gill went all guns blazing and scored his 3rd century in IPL 2023. He orchestrated a 62-run win for Gujarat Titans (GT).

Shubman Gill was the cynosure of all eyes as he notched up 129 runs in just 60 balls. The 23-year-old cricketer opened the batting for Gujarat and played a superb innings. Post the win of the defending champions, Shubman Gill was seen having a chat with former Indian legend and present Mumbai Indians (MI) mentor, Sachin Tendulkar.

The duo was seen engaging in a long, intense and deep conversating. It was a visually-appealing sight for all cricket lovers. The past and the present torchbearer of Indian cricket was seen talking to each other.

It seemed like Shubman Gill was picking Tendulkar’s brains and he was taking tips as to where he could improve upon his game. No matter how good you are, there is always scope for improvement. And that is essentially the hallmark of a good cricketer; you never stop learning.

Sachin Tendulkar had won an IPL title in 2013

Having first skippered Mumbai and then playing as a normal player, Sachin Tendulkar had lifted the prestigious IPL title once in IPL 2013. Rohit Sharma was the captain of Mumbai Indians and it was the first trophy for the 5-time champions.

Mumbai had beaten Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the finals by 23 runs and the game took place at the iconic Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Former MI all-rounder and present batting coach Kieron Pollard had bagged the player of the match award in that MI vs CSK final.

Pollard had scored 60* runs in 32 balls and had also taken a wicket. It was a special moment for Rohit Sharma and co. as it was their first ever IPL title. Mumbai have grown from strength to strength since that title and have pocketed 5 titles.

GT will be meeting CSK in the finals

On 28th May 2023, Gujarat Titans will be locking horns with Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023 finals. The match will be played at the largest cricket stadium in India, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat.

It will be a repeat of Match 1 of IPL 2023. Gujarat Titans had won the game by 5 wickets. Afghani spinner Rashid Khan had produced a stunning performance and had won the player of the match award.

Khan bagged 2 wickets and also scored 10* runs and made sure Gujarat went above the line.
