As the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are presently in Mumbai after their game against Mumbai Indians (MI), star Indian batter Virat Kohli and Bollywood superstar Anushka Sharma took out the RCB team out for dinner.
They hosted the team in their restaurant in Juhu in Mumbai. Before the power couple went inside the restaurant, they posed for pictures to the paparazzi who were present outside the restaurant.
Emerging out from the RCB team bus were some of the star players of RCB including Faf Du Plessis and Mohammad Siraj. The photographers and videographers went wild when Siraj came out and this again proves that he is a crowd favourite.
The One8 Commune restaurant in Juhu has a rich heritage
Notably, the One8 Commune restaurant in Juhu was once owned by the late Kishore Kumar, who was a legendary singer. This was his bungalow and Virat Kohli renovated it to make his stylish restaurant. This restaurant also hosts screenings and live shows and is a very famous restaurant of Mumbai.
Virat Kohli’s restaurant chain One8 Commune also has its outlets in Kolkata, Pune and Delhi.
RCB find themselves in a precarious situation
In the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, RCB are placed in the 7th position. They need to win all their remaining 3 games in order to stay in the hunt for the playoffs. RCB’s loss to Mumbai by 6 wickets dented their chance to solidify their position in the points table.
In the 1st innings, RCB managed to post 199 runs, thanks to blistering innings from Glenn Maxwell and Faf Du Plessis. MI chased down the total with the utmost ease and Surya Kumar Yadav shone like a shining star.
He scored 83 runs in just 35 balls and deservedly won the player of the match award. With the win, the Rohit Sharma side jumped to the 3rd position in the points table.
