SRH Players in Top Form

As the IPL 2025 season approaches, several players from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have showcased exceptional form in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2024.

Among them, three standout players have caught the attention of fans and selectors alike, demonstrating their readiness to make a significant impact in the upcoming IPL season.

1. Abhishek Sharma

Abhishek Sharma has been in sensational form during the SMAT, solidifying his reputation as a dynamic all-rounder.

Representing Punjab, he scored 255 runs in 7 matches at an explosive strike rate of 216.10, which included a century and a half-century.

His standout performance came when he not only excelled with the bat but also contributed significantly with the ball, taking 8 wickets with best figures of 3/37 and maintaining an economy rate of 7.23.

Sharma’s aggressive batting style has made him a key player for SRH, especially in the powerplay overs, where he has consistently provided explosive starts.

His ability to contribute both with bat and ball makes him a vital asset for SRH as they look to build on their previous seasons.

2. Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami, who was acquired by SRH for INR 10 crores in the IPL 2025 auction, has shown remarkable form in the SMAT while representing Bengal.

In 9 matches, he took 11 wickets, with his best performance being 3/21 and an economy rate of 7.85.

This impressive showing comes after Shami missed the previous IPL season due to injury, making his return all the more significant.

His experience and ability to deliver crucial wickets will be invaluable for SRH’s bowling attack, especially during high-pressure situations.

Shami’s performances indicate that he is regaining his rhythm and fitness, positioning him as a potential match-winner for SRH in IPL 2025.

3. Simarjeet Singh

Simarjeet Singh has emerged as another key player for SRH following his performances in the SMAT while representing Delhi.

He claimed 9 wickets in just 5 matches, with his best figures being 3/16 and an impressive economy rate of 7.58. His ability to maintain control while picking up crucial wickets has made him a valuable addition to SRH’s bowling lineup.

Acquired by SRH for INR 1.5 crore, Simarjeet’s strong showing in domestic cricket has caught the attention of the franchise management, who will be eager to see how he translates this form into the IPL setting.
