Here are three uncapped stars who have made a notable impact in the opening week of the tournament.

1. Ashutosh Sharma (Delhi Capitals)

Ashutosh Sharma made headlines with a stunning performance in his debut match for Delhi Capitals against Lucknow Super Giants. 

Coming in at a precarious position of 65 for 5 while chasing a massive target of 210 runs, the 26-year-old played a match-winning innings of 66 not out off just 31 balls, which included five fours and five sixes. 

His ability to accelerate when needed helped DC secure a thrilling one-wicket victory, showcasing his potential as a game-changer in high-pressure situations. 

After having a promising stint with Punjab Kings in the previous season, Ashutosh has firmly established himself as a player to watch this season.

2. Vipraj Nigam (Delhi Capitals)

Another standout performer from the same match was Vipraj Nigam, who played a crucial role in Delhi’s victory. 

The 20-year-old made an explosive contribution with a quickfire 39 runs off just 15 balls, hitting five fours and two sixes. 

His partnership with Ashutosh Sharma was pivotal, as they added 55 runs for the seventh wicket in just 22 balls, turning the tide in favor of DC. 

Nigam’s effortless hitting and confidence at the crease have already made him a fan favorite, and he aims to build on this momentum throughout the tournament.

3. Priyansh Arya (Punjab Kings)

Priyansh Arya has also made waves early in IPL 2025 with his impressive debut performance for Punjab Kings against Gujarat Titans. 

The 24-year-old left-handed batsman scored an explosive 47 runs off just 23 balls, featuring seven fours and two sixes. 

His innings helped set up a solid foundation for Punjab’s chase and earned him praise from head coach Ricky Ponting, who highlighted Arya’s potential as an attacking opener. 

With his fearless approach and technical proficiency, Priyansh is expected to be a key player for PBKS as the tournament progresses.
