Gujarat Titans (GT) have been an embodiment of consistency in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 and are presently in the 2nd position in the points table with 7 wins in 10 games. And one of the main reasons why Gujarat have been performing well is because of the resurgence of tall and lanky pacer, Prasidh Krishna.

Prasidh Krishna is having a breakthrough season in IPL 2025 – 19 wickets so far in the tournament! He has been the backbone of the bowling department of Gujarat Titans and has heavily contributed in their success so far.

In the game versus Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 2nd May 2025, Prasidh Krishan punched above his weight and bagged 2 wickets in 4 overs whilst conceding only 19 runs. His match-winning spell deservedly earned him the player of the match award in Ahmedabad.

Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, Prasidh Krishna revealed the reasons behind his success in IPL 2025.

“I think my control over the length has been good, and all the work that we’ve been putting in as a team and everybody around has been supportive enough for me to get to where I am now. And yeah, I’m enjoying the way the ball is coming out of the hand,” said Prasidh Krishna.

“My preparation would start firstly by getting control over what I want to do, get back into the practice, get back in the nets, do exactly what I would do against somebody that I’d be facing in a particular game and then from there, get on game day, look at what the pitch is like,” he added.

Gujarat Titans brushed aside Sunrisers Hyderabad in Match 51

Batting first, Shubman Gill and co. put up a humongous total of 224 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Shubman Gill top-scored with a classy knock of 76 runs and Jos Buttler continued his purple patch – 64 runs in 37 deliveries.

In response, Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen did try their level best to take the previous season’s runners-up over the line – but it was always a tough task for the batters.

Prasidh Krishna and Mohammad Siraj bagged 2 wickets each to hand Gujarat Titans, their 7th win of the season.
