KL Rahul recorded abusing his teammate in Kannada against DC

KL Rahul took the field against Delhi Capitals for the first time as a skipper of a team in IPL. There is no doubt over the fact that he did show his leadership skills quite brilliantly. But, there was another instance that hogged the spotlight. During the game, KXIP skipper was spotted abusing one of his teammates in the Kannada language that got recorded on the mic fitted in the stumps.

DC and KXIP both were involved in a thrilling encounter past evening. They were playing their first game of IPL 2020 that was full of twists and turns. KXIP skipper won the toss and asked DC to bat first. The latter got off to a stumbling start as their top order batsman Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, and Shemron Hetmyer were sent back to pavilion in the first five overs of the game.

Later, DC skipper Shreyas Iyer and middle-order batsman Rishabh Pant stitched a brilliant partnership of 73 runs in their quest to rescue the teams from early setbacks. During the same time, KL Rahul was spotted changing the field. And, while doing the same, he “Munde baaro l*wd@”. It is still unknown to which player he used such words. But, it got clearly recorded in the stumps mic.

For DC, Marcus Stoinis emerged as the star of the match. He played a swashbuckling knock of 53 runs off 21 balls that included 24 runs off Chris Jordan’s final over of the innings. Coming onto the chase, KXIP also got off to a poor start as their skipper KL Rahul was sent back to the dugout quite early. From KXIP, Mayank Agarwal stole all the spotlight by pulling off his best-ever knock in IPL. He muscled 83 runs off 60 balls that took the game to the super-over. But, in the end, Shreyas Iyer managed to grab two important points in their campaign opener.
