Sanjay Bangar has taken a dig on Aaron Finch and revealed why RCB failed in winning the IPL trophy in 2020. The RCB batting coach feels that in this season Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers have got support from other players in the side. But that was not the case in the previous edition.
RCB is having a good time in the Indian Premier League. They are currently in 3rd position with 5 wins in their 6 outings, run-rate is being the difference between them and the table-toppers Chennai Super Kings. Royal Challenger Bangalore has excelled on the back of their top five batsmen this season. Meanwhile, the bowlers have also come up with a brilliant and mind-wobbling effort.
In batting AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, and Rajat Patidar have contributed well with consistency. On the other hand in bowling, Mohammad Siraj and Harshal Patel have impressed everyone with their variations and yorkers.
Sanjay Bangar Reveals Why RCB In IPL 2021 Is Better Than It Was In IPL 2020
In a clip released by RCB, Sanjay Bangar can be seen praising the effort of the players in IPL 2021. He said that every batsman in the team is in good form. However, this was not the case in the previous season when Aaron Finch was part of the team. As per him, there are more match-winners in the team, who can win any crucial game on their good days.
“Unlike last season, where RCB was dependent a lot on Virat and AB firing all the time with the bat. Maybe Finch wasn’t contributing enough, some other guys who were part of the team were unable to do that. But this season has been pretty good, We have contributions from various batsmen,” Bangar said in a video posted on RCB’s official Twitter account.
“It was Padikkal, or Virat or Maxi or AB or in the last game you saw contribution from Rajat Patidar… how composed he was.
“From that perspective, it augurs really well for the team. There are multiple players who on their day can win the match on their own,” he added.
