Recently Glenn Maxwell tied the knot with his long-time partner Vini Raman in a traditional Indian wedding in Chennai. Although the couple officially got married in March in Australia but conducted Indian wedding rituals recently as Vini is of Indian origin.
The Aussie all-rounder took a break from the Pakistan series earlier due to his wedding ceremony. After joining the RCB squad, Maxwell threw another party recently for his RCB buddies in a completely Indian traditional set-up. The whole Royal Challengers Bangalore squad was spotted at this party on Wednesday, 27 April.
The Bangalore-based franchise has been quite off-track after a degrading loss in their recent match against Rajasthan Royals. They lost their top-four spot after two consecutive losses in the Indian Premier League.
But just to cool off their minds every member of the squad was gathered to attend their teammate’s wedding party. Netizens were delighted to see Virat Kohli in a black kurta matching some iconic dance steps with RCB’s bowling all-rounder Shabaz Ahmed. The duo was having a good time dancing on “O Antava” a chartbuster from a recent blockbuster movie, Pushpa.
All the other players were also dressed in Indian ethnic attire. RCB’s newly appointed skipper Faf du Plessis also graced the occasion with his spouse Imari Visser and two daughters. Sherfane Rutherford took to his Instagram handle to share some candid pictures with Sri-Lankan leggie, Wanindu Hasaranga and Virat Kohli.
In the videos posted online, the whole team could be seen draped in vibrant Kurta-pyjamas and having a good time with other fellow players. Some other clips also went viral where Kohli can be seen hitting the dance floor on some Bollywood numbers.

Meanwhile, Virat’s better half, Anushka Sharma revealed the couple’s outfit for the night by sharing a post on her Instagram handle. The Bollywood diva was amazed to witness the rare occasion of throwing a wedding party inside a bio-secure bubble as she quoted in her caption: “Wedding function in a bubble! Now I think I’ve seen and celebrated possibly every function and festival in a bubble! 🤔🫧🤭
