Sunrisers Hyderabad have announced a donation of INR 30 Crores in order to provide aid to people, who have suffered due to the second wave that hit India miserably. The Hyderabad-based franchise announced about the same in their recent social media activity on the micro-blogging site.
SRH didn’t have the season they might have expected before the Indian Premier League 2021 got off the mark. Although the tournament has been suspended for an indefinite period. But, still, the performance of SRH till now was not up to the mark. They were on the last position in the eight-team tournament winning only one game out of their seven outings.
SRH To Donate A Big Amount To Provide Relief To Needy
Meanwhile, the former IPL champions also faced the heat of the fans dropping David Warner out in the final game before the suspension of the tournament. However, now BCCI has suspended the tournament and SRH will be expected to make a strong comeback when IPL 2021 will restart.
India struggling with a medical emergency the cricketing fraternity has come forward in order to help the people hit by the second wave of COVID-19. Recently, SRH shared a post on Twitter and informed fans that they will donate a total amount of INR 30 Crores in different programs introduced by the government of India in these struggling times. Meanwhile, they also mentioned in their letter that they will partner with NGOs, who are working to boost the oxygen supply in the country.
SRH also mentioned that they will leverage its media resourced to make people aware about the COVID-19. Earlier, Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma had also started a fundraiser to provide aid to people.
