Hardik Pandya has been going through a torrid time at the Mumbai Indians (MI) team in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Pandya had moved from Gujarat Titans (GT) to Mumbai after the IPL 2024 retention lists were out and since then, he also took over the captaincy at Mumbai.
He has been receiving a lot of hate and flak for this as the fan-favourite Rohit Sharma was removed as the captain. Whichever stadium Hardik Pandya and co. and are going to, he is being booed.
People have been abusing him and always chant Rohit Sharma’s name at the toss and whenever Hardik Pandya is shown in the big screen.
And to add to the misery of Hardik, Mumbai Indians have gotten off to a poor start in IPL 2024. The 5-time IPL champions are rooted to the bottom of the points table and have lost 3 matches on the bounce.
Amidst this hustle and bustle, Hardik Pandya visited the Somnath Temple in Prabhas Patan, Gujarat and offered prayers to Lord Shiva. People from all parts of the globe flock to this temple and pay homage to Lord Shiva.
The video went viral on social media and we really hope that the negative publicity of Hardik Pandya comes to an end now.
Because we all need to understand that it wasn’t Hardik Pandya’s fault at all. It was the MI team management’s call to make him the captain. The unprecedented amount of hate on Pandya needs to stop as we need to understand that he is an Indian cricketer first.
A couple of months later, Hardik Pandya will be playing for India at the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. And we need to unitedly support him and make him come into a better and a positive mindset.
