Watch: Virat Kohli Dedicates Poem To Royal Challengers Bangalore & Himself In IPL 2023

Date:

Virat Kohli’s brand value knows no introduction at all. One of the greatest cricketers of all time, Kohli has time and again been an inspiration for one and all. With the unreal form he is in presently, Kohli is simply stamping his authority once again in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

In the season opener for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Kohli stitched a fabulous partnership of 148 runs with skipper Faf Du Plessis. Kohli scored an unbeaten knock of 82* runs in just 49 balls and steered RCB to an emphatic victory against Mumbai Indians (MI).

Off the field, Virat Kohli is grabbing headlines with his hilarious interview with Mr. Nags on the RCB Insider Show.

He firstly revealed that he loves the fact that people give him the moniker ‘King’ but he prefers being called ‘Virat’ itself. The 34-year-old cricketer also gave some golden advice on the concept of expectations.

“I will give you one advice. Never voice your expectations. Have them, but keep them inside. Never say it. Once you say it, it becomes a demand,” said Virat Kohli on the RCB Insider Show.

Virat Kohli ignites his creative juices

In a fun segment in the interview, Virat Kohli was given a set of words by Mr. Nags and he had to chalk out a poem from that. And the result was excellent! Not only is Kohli a great cricketer but he is a very well-read person as well.

“Fulfil your desire. Ignite the fire

Bat through the tough times

Sometimes it’s 263, sometimes 49

Life can put you in a pickle,

Laugh through like it’s a tickle,

Whether you get a 100 or a duck,

Life goes on, don’t get stuck.

There is no map, Ride the tide,

You are your own guide”

Royal Challengers Bangalore next cross swords with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on 6th April 2023. The match will be played at the iconic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata and is slated to take place from 7:30 PM (IST).

RCB’s bowlers in the form of Josh Hazlewood and Reece Topley are injured and this is a big blow to the franchise.
