Who is Scott Boland?

Scott Boland is an Australian cricketer known for his right-arm fast-medium bowling. Born on April 11, 1989, in Mordialloc, Victoria, he has made a significant impact in both domestic and international cricket.

Boland began his professional career in 2011 with Victoria and quickly established himself as a reliable bowler in domestic competitions. 

His breakthrough season came in 2018-19 when he took 48 wickets in the Sheffield Shield, earning him the Player of the Year award.

He has also played for various Big Bash League (BBL) teams, including the Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes.

International Debut and Achievements

Scott Boland made his international debut in limited-overs formats, playing his first One Day International (ODI) against India on January 12, 2016. 

However, his Test debut on December 26, 2021, during the Ashes series, brought him widespread recognition. 

In that match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), he achieved remarkable figures of 6 wickets for just 7 runs, making an instant impact on his debut.

Boland also played on the Australian team that won the ICC World Test Championship final against India in June 2023, further solidifying his place in the national squad.

Will Scott Boland be Playing in IPL 2025?

As for his involvement in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Scott Boland has not been listed as a player for any franchise as of now. 

His focus seems to remain on international and domestic cricket, particularly with his performances in Australia’s domestic leagues. 

While he has played in T20 leagues before, including the BBL, there has been no announcement regarding his participation in the IPL for the upcoming season.
