“Yuzvendra Chahal has been brilliant in IPL 2020,”- Gautam Gambhir praises RCB leg-spinner

IPL 2020 is in its full swing and teams are battling out to get their place reserved in the playoffs. Meanwhile, the bowlers and batsmen are also giving a tough fight to each other in order to get their hands on purple and orange cap respectively. Many bowlers have given terrific performances with the ball like Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, and Pat Cummins. They have been the talk of the town. But, Gautam Gambhir, the former Indian opener feels that everyone should also direct their focus towards Yuzvendra Chahal.

Chahal is a vital cog in RCB’s spin bowling department. Over the years, he has developed himself into a world-class leg-spinner. In the ongoing season, he has impressed everyone with his bowling by taking wickets in bundles. He has grabbed 8 wickets in 5 games playing for RCB. Also, he has won the Man of The Match award in IPL 2020 against SRH for taking three-for. Currently, he is at 2nd position in the list of leading wicket-takers in IPL 2020

The former World Cup winner said that the leg-spinner is bowling quite brilliantly in IPL 2020. He feels that everyone talks about other bowlers like Kagiso Rabada, Rashid Khan, etc. But, this year, Chahal has done a great job for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Gautam Gambhir feels Yuzvendra Chahal is bowling at his best in IPL 2020

“Yuzvendra Chahal has been brilliant. We keep talking about Rashid Khan, Jofra Archer, Kagiso Rabada, Pat Cummins; but Chahal in IPL, especially in this season, has been right up there. We should be talking about Chahal much more. There is more hype around other bowlers. But he has done brilliantly for RCB,” Gambhir said as quoted by ESPNCricinfo.

Chahal’s previous game against Delhi Capitals didn’t go down well. He gave away 29 runs off his 3 overs. He went quite expensive due to which Virat Kohli didn’t allow him to bowl his full quota of overs. However, the fans are expecting that the Haryana-born spinner will mark a strong comeback in the upcoming games.
