Arjun Tendulkar who is the son of legendary former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, smashed a century in his debut game in the Ranji Trophy. Batting for Goa, the 23-year-old all-rounder struck a fabulous century against Rajasthan.
His knock of 120 runs came in 207 balls and it was peppered with 16 fours and 2 sixes. Arjun Tendulkar emulated his father’s feat; Sachin had scored a century during his debut Ranji game in 1988. This knock came against Gujarat and Sachin was only 15 years old back then.
Arjun Tendulkar orchestrated a 221-run partnership with Suyash Prabhudessai and powered Goa to a humongous total of 493-8. This is the score after Day 2 and Goa is yet to declare their innings. Number 3 batter Suyash smashed a double century and his knock of 212 runs was packed with 29 fours.

Tendulkar has been a part of the Mumbai Indians (MI) franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for a couple of years now. Although he has not yet received his maiden IPL cap, he has been getting some good exposure and is rubbing shoulders with the greats of the game. He was bought for Rs. 30 lakhs in the IPL 2022 auctions.

Arjun Tendulkar bagged 10 wickets in 7 games in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022 and had a good economy rate of 5.69. He finished the season as Goa’s second-highest wicket-taker, after Lakshay Garg. Tendulkar was Goa’s highest wicket-taker in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022, where he had 7 wickets in 8 games.
