BCCI Bans Boria Majumdar from Indian Cricket for 2 years for intimidating Wriddhiman Saha

Board Control for Cricket in India has imposed a two-year-long ban on famous journalist Boria Majumdar as he was found guilty of intimidating Indian wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha. The famous journalist warned the Indian cricketer with some bad words after Saha denied him of giving an interview.

BCCI quickly formed a committee of three members in order to investigate the whole matter. The committee was headed by BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla. It also had BCCI treasurer, Arun Dhumal, and Prabhtej Bhatia.

Now, BCCI has come up with a statement in their press release. The Indian cricket committee has mentioned that they will be informing all the state cricket organizations not to allow him to cover any domestic game. Also, BCCI has mentioned that they will request ICC to blacklist him.

“We will be informing all state units of the Indian cricket board to not allow him inside stadiums. He won’t be given media accreditation for home matches and we will also be writing to ICC to blacklist him. Players will be asked not to engage with him,” a top BCCI official earlier quoted, according to a report by Indian Express.

Post-Saha-Majumdar instance, the whole cricketing fraternity came in support of the Indian cricketer. Even, Ravi Shastri and Rahul Dravid shared their solidarity with Saha.
