3. Post – Match gatherings and parties:
IPL was supposed to be fun-filled. No doubt. One thought that the fun was only in the field, but the governing body made specific allowances.
Since the players were always under the pump, relaxation was a requirement. Post-match parties were arranged for players to loosen up. Alcohol flowed, and the cheerleaders too were found cat-walking. Control was lost sometimes as the party used to head well into the night.
There were complaints of overseas players misbehaving with the cheerleaders. In particular, one cheerleader named Gabriella Pasqualotto voiced her criticism loudly. More damaging was that the players were found discussing match-fixing!
