Karun Nair's Emotional Tweet

Karun Nair, an Indian batsman, sent an emotional remark on Twitter pleading for cricket to give him another chance. Prior to the Karnataka Ranji team’s opening two matches against Services and Pondicherry in Bengaluru, he has been removed off the roster.

The day the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) released its squad for the Ranji Trophy matches against Services and Pondicherry, Nair tweeted.

Nair has been passed over for a spot in the Ranji Trophy squad for the first two games despite not being selected for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy or the Vijay Hazare Trophy squads.

The RR player begged the cricket community on Twitter to give him another chance.

“Dear cricket, give me one more chance”, he said.

Karun Nair dropped after the England tour

Nair, a Test cricket record holder, hasn’t participated in a senior-level match since August. In the Karnataka Premier League, he most recently represented Mysuru. Nair can make a comeback later in the tournament because the selectors have just chosen the team for the first two games.

Nair played 6 tests and 2 ODIs over the course of the following 12 months after making his India debut in June 2016. He continued to play with the Test team until 2018. He was released after the year’s England trip and hasn’t been invited back since. Incredibly, Nair was not given a spot in the starting lineup for the fifth Test match against England.

The quickest batter to hit a maiden triple ton

In the series finale at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Karun Nair, who had made his Test debut against England in November 2016 at Mohali, managed to hit an unbeaten knock of 303 runs, marking his first Test century.

By accomplishing the feat, Nair also set a record for the shortest time in Test cricket history for a hitter to register a first triple century. Nair was given attention after being selected as the game’s player of the match as the hosts defeated the visitors by an innings and 75 runs. But that was his one outstanding performance; his final ODI was in June 2016, and his final Test was in March 2017.
