Former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff suffered a major injury while shooting for a film Top Gear, which is a BBC show. Flintoff has been the presenter of this show since 2019. Flintoff was shooting at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey when he suffered the fatal injury.
Andrew Flintoff was immediately looked at by the medical team present at the spot and was soon airlifted to a nearby hospital. Notably, the 45-year-old former England all-rounder was filming in conditions that were very icy.
“Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning – with crew medics attending the scene immediately. He has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course,” said the BBC.
According to The Sun, the injuries suffered by Flintoff were not “life-threatening”. “All the usual health and safety measures were in place for filming too. Freddie was taken to hospital by air ambulance shortly afterwards. Filming has been postponed for now and all anyone cares about is Freddie recovering,” said a source close to The Sun.
