Indian team should get ready to play on a green top in the series opener of the five-match Test series starting on 4th August. The 1st Test will be played at Nottingham and BCCI has shared the first picture on social media of the pitch that is being prepared for the opening game.

BCCI shared a picture of the green top means Virat Kohli can unleash his pace battery in the 1st Test. Team India can play four main pacers including Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, and Jasprit Bumrah.

BCCI Shares Green Top Pitch Prepared For 1st Test

BCCI took to their official Twitter handle and shared a post that read,“A big hello from Trent Bridge. Our venue for the 1st Test against England. #ENGvIND,” BCCI wrote in the caption of the photo.

Earlier this year Team India hosted England on proper spinning tracks suitable for their bowlers. Following the trend, ECB might have asked pitch curators to come up with a seaming track that will be helpful for their pace battery.

Ahead of the 1st Test, Team India has two big issues to resolve ahead of the 1st Test. One injury of the players and the second is poor form. The visitors might pick one batsman between Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane. This will open doors for Mohammed Siraj, who can exploit English batsmen on the back of his lethal swing bowling. Moreover, India will have a good opportunity of playing Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Ashwin together due to their impressive form.

Jadeja smashed brilliant fifties in both the innings of the practice match. This gives the Indian team the liberty to play him as their main batsmen with Rishabh Pant being promoted to the fourth position.
