Suryakumar Yadav got the maiden call-up from the national side for the T20I series against England. The 28-year-old feels that the current Indian cricket team is playing in their prime and they are the overwhelming favorites to win the T20 World Cup slated to be held in that latter part of the year in India.
Team India holds the honor of winning the first T20 World Cup that was held in South Africa in 2007. Since then Men in Blue have played the finals and semi-finals on several occasions. But, they failed to get their hands on the prestigious trophy. However, the former players and cricket pundits feel that Team India has everything that it takes to win an ICC event.
Suryakumar Yadav Feels Team India Will Win The Upcoming T20 World Cup
In a recent interaction, Suryakumar Yadav, the right-handed cricketer feels that the current Indian team is playing at its best. He feels that the way players are responding against the opponents is simply unbelievable.
“The brand of cricket the Indian team is playing is unbelievable. I have following them for a long time. Looking at the players, their contribution, the way they are playing, the way they are lifting their game against different teams has been unbelievable,” Suryakumar Yadav said.
He mentioned that after registering the T20I win against Australia, Team India is on cloud nine and they will surely win the upcoming T20 World Cup that will be held in the latter part of the ongoing year 2021.
“After having that historic win in Australia, I am sure the confidence of the team has gone way above other teams. I am really excited to join them and feel the same thing. And yes rightly said by you I think this time India will win the T20 World Cup in India,” Suryakumar added.
