IPL 2023 New Coach

The Indian Premier League in 2023 will have 10-sides competing for the championship. As per the recent developments, Chandrakant Pandit will become the new head coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders. Punjab Kings is letting Anil Kumble leave. Tom Moody has been replaced as the Sunrisers Hyderabad team’s head coach by Brain Lara.

While one can observe players’ on-field performances, the coaching and support staff who work behind the scenes play a significant part in whether they succeed or fail.

There are cricket specialists who participate in strategy development, medical specialists who take care of mental preparation and physical well-being, and people who handle the crucial duty of coordinating the logistics. Know about the IPL teams’ new coaches for the 2023 season.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), a two-time IPL champion, has named Chandrakant Pandit as its new head coach for the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 and beyond. Chandrakant Pandit will take over for Brendon McCullum, who left to join the England Men’s cricket squad a few months ago.

Chandrakant Pandit, known for his pure coaching skill, has previously won many domestic titles with unheralded teams. His most recent achievement was leading Madhya Pradesh to its first Ranji Trophy victory.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Tom Moody has been released by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Last year, the Australian oversaw a poor IPL 2022 campaign. A day later, on Saturday, batting icon Brian Lara was also named the next SRH coach.

The appointment of Lara comes as no surprise given that the former West Indies captain worked with the team last season. In IPL 2022, he served as a strategy advisor and batting coach. With the great having worked with the current group of players in the locker room, he should have little trouble guiding the club that underperformed last season.

Punjab Kings (PBKS)

Punjab Kings chose not to renew Anil Kumble’s contract, hence his tenure as head coach of the team is now over. In 2020, Kumble joined Kings. He oversaw the team for three seasons, each of which saw them finish in the bottom half of the IPL points standings: sixth in 2020 and 2021, when the league had eight teams, and sixth in 2022, when it had 10 teams.

Eoin Morgan, a former captain of England’s World Cup-winning cricket team, is reportedly in line to become the franchise’s new head coach. Morgan has previously participated as a player for the Mohali-based team.
