On Friday, December 23, the mini-auction for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) got underway in Kochi. Gujarat Titans selected Kane Williamson during the IPL 2023 auction. During the auction, the squad paid Rs. 2 crores to get the Kiwi player. In the IPL 2023 auction, Kane Williamson set a base price of Rs. 2 crores.
A New Zealander by the name of Kane Williamson. He bats in the top order and bats right-handed. Williamson had previously participated in numerous IPL seasons.
Williamson played last season with Sunrisers Hyderabad. The team let him go before the IPL 2023 auction. Williamson previously served as Sunrisers Hyderabad’s tournament captain the previous year.
The Kiwi player participated in 13 matches in IPL 2023. In 13 games, he scored 216 runs, averaging 19.64 runs per game. He also had one fifty during the competition. IPL 2015 marked Williamson’s entry into the league for the first time.
