Sam Curran – Rs 18.50 crore
Sam Curran, an all-rounder from England, was acquired by the Punjab Kings team for Rs 18.50 crore. He has now been auctioned for the highest price in IPL history. Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants, and Chennai Super Kings also bid on Karan, but the Punjab club ultimately prevailed.
Cameron Green – Rs 17.50 crore
Cameron Green, an Australian all-rounder, was acquired by the Mumbai Indians for Rs 17.50 crore. The second most expensive player ever sold in IPL history was Debutant Green. There was also participation from the Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore squads. But ultimately, Mumbai included him in their group.
Ben Stokes – Rs 16.25 crore
Ben Stokes, an all-rounder for England, was purchased by Chennai Super Kings for a staggering sum of Rs 16.25 crore. Nicholas Pooran – Rs 16 crore
Nicholas Pooran, a powerful West Indian batter, was acquired by the Lucknow Super Giants team for Rs 16 crore. He has now been sold for the biggest money among West Indies players in the IPL. Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, and Rajasthan Royals teams were indulging in a bidding war to purchase Pooran in addition to Lucknow. Last year, Pooran played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. In 14 games, he scored 306 runs, two of which were half-centuries.
Harry Brook – Rs 13.25 crore
Harry Brook, a talented young batter from England, was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad for the price of Rs 13.25 crore. The 23-year-old Brook will be playing in the IPL for the first time. Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore had also placed a bid to purchase Brook, in addition to Hyderabad.
